I changed the 'DVI to HDMI dosn't work on the Mac Mini' line to reflect my experence with a Mac Mini, Belkin 'Monster' DVI to HDMI cable (the one avalible from the Apple store), and a Sony WEGA 32" CRT TV. DVI/HDMI are different form factors of the same interface and VGA is DVI minus digital control signals. That's why the 'converters' are so small - all they do is adjust the pin-out. i.e. no software or logic involved. THe only issue you might have with them would be the Mini (in Windows) and the HDMI device not being able to find a common resolution. I've not found this to be a problem with my Mini (Early 2006, Core Duo) in XP.
