Version 5 ("Developer's" release)

(updated 4/6/06)

What was done

  1. Removed all of the old drivers (started from scrach)
  2. Ran Bootcamp's driver install
  3. Extracted the drivers from the .msi file
  4. Put them into the driver folder, and told the automate file where the drivers were

In other words v5 just has the bootcamp files, please know that X1600 won't work because still no working vbios is out.

Comments:

Can someone please host this file somwhere else? I've been having massive problems with the file sharing site and haven't been able to download it once (I've only gotten to 93% or less and then the download dies). Odin

BIOS 1 ("Developer's" release)

(updated 4/6/06)

INFO

  • The Bios was gotten from one of the fourms the link was posted by mon
  • The vga bios is from an X1600 mobility with EFI, and VGA support.
  • This MAY allow x1600 to run correctly

Installation

First, you'll need to take the bios.rom and vga.rom from the bioses.zip file, and put them in the root
of the drive that you have xom.efi on. So assuming xom.efi is on your main Mac partition, put the two rom files at /

Next, you can reboot. When you get to the xom screen, hit F4, then hit F6. At the console you should
see "ROMs are enabled" or something to that effect. Go ahead and boot XP.
